Backend Teamlead

Role
- Develop new key features for our Ruby based platform
- Research and implement solutions for making sense out of massive amounts of data
- Decide on architectural challenges and coordinate implementation in close collaboration with the head of product

Skills
- You have a couple of years of experience with Ruby / Rails
- You build systems that are simple and scale (in other words beautiful)
- You have great SQL skills
- You are excited about test-driven development
- You have great communcation skills paired with the ability to lead teams
A Plus
- Solid frontend development experience, especially with JavaScript
- Active contributor to open source software
- Previous startup & team lead experience

Sales Manager
You want to be an important part of a product that makes a difference in the future TV experience. You are a great communicator and a quick learner. You are keen on the challenges a startup environment holds and the disruption that streaming distribution and the social web bring to the TV industry.
Your Role
- Identify, build and maintain relationships with our B2B customers
- Sell our B2B product to German and international customers
- Understand challenges of our customers and inject their valuable feedback into our product development process
- Set highest standards for the sales appearance of Tweek and take over responsibility in a young and driven team
- Be a nice person
Skills/ Requirements
- At least 3 years professional experience working in the VoD/ IPTV/ broadcasting industry
- You hold an MBA or analogous degree from one of the world’s best schools
- You have a superior attention to details paired with a hands-on attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced enironment
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German

Senior Frontend Engineer
We’re looking for a skilled and passionate frontend engineer to help us build and scale the web technology based Tweek for iPad and iPhone applications. A team player keen on the challenges a startup environment and the emerging space of social TV will bring.
Your Role:
- Lead: You are leading the development of Tweek‘s iPad and iPhone apps, and are responsible for their architecture with a focus on performance, maintainability and robustness.
- Refactor: Make code better. Delete code. Fix things. Simplicity and clean code is high on your list of priorities.
- Extend: In the future extend the application to new platforms such as mobile and connected TVs.
You should definetely have:
- Expert knowledge in frontend web engineering (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, SASS, cross-browser, performance).
- The understanding that TDD is a software design technique rather than a tedious constraint. You’ve successfully applied BDD to past projects.
- Solid experience with JavaScript frameworks (Backbone, Underscore, jQuery/Zepto, Jasmine).
- A thorough way of working, always paying attention to detail.
- Passion about web standards.
Bonus points for:
- Solid experience with Ruby/Rails and SQL
- Active contributor to open source software
- Strong eye for typography, color, and layout
- Previous startup experience
